LEGISLATION IN THE FIELD OF ADULT EDUCATION

Appropriate legislation is necessary for the development of the field of education and adult education. Therefore, the Ukrainian Association of Adult Education became one of the initiators of the development of the profile draft law “On Adult Education” No. 7039. On January 12, 2023, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted this draft law in the first reading. Currently, the document is awaiting final adoption by the Parliament.

Adoption of the draft law “On adult education” No. 7039 will contribute to:

• improving employment of the population;
• development and self-realization of the individual during life;
• involvement of employers in the organization of training at the workplace (in production) on mutually beneficial terms;
• ensuring competitive conditions for the provision of education (educational services) and free choice of service providers in the field of adult education;
• protection of the rights of applicants, employers and other participants in the educational process in the field of adult education.
