The executive director of UAOD held a meeting with the management of the MOH

On February 15, the Executive Director of the Association, Mykyta Andreev, held a meeting with the Minister of Education and Science, Serhiy Shkarlet, the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Andriy Vitrenko, and the State Secretary of the Ministry, Serhii Zakharin.

The subject of discussion was the draft law “On Adult Education”, which was adopted in the first reading in January of this year. We will remind that the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine developed this document in cooperation with the Ukrainian Association of Adult Education. In February 2022, a few weeks before a full-scale invasion, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine submitted a draft law to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. After the first reading, more than a thousand amendments were submitted to the draft law, which are currently being considered.

The participants of the meeting agreed that the bill should be adopted as a whole as soon as possible, as it is critically important to support people and restore the economy. It was decided to hold a joint forum to consolidate the efforts of various interested parties to promote the draft law. The event will be held on April 6 in Kyiv, with the support of the DVV International Representative Office in Ukraine. Representatives of non-governmental organizations, authorities, businesses, communal and state institutions will be invited to it.
